Hi,

I have been recieving "updates" from Microsoft in my e-mail and when i scan
then for viruses, it says there is one in there. Is this only because i
have a Macintosh computer?

You have just downloaded AND installed the virus and are now spreading it to
friends and neighbors. Please go to Symantec's website and get the fix.

If he's running a Mac, he's fine: the virus only infects Windows
operating systems.
