Visio 12 first problem

B

bnk

Have started porting our Addon to Visio 12... (working with beta 2)

The problem encountered: Visio crashes if you first install custom
menu, then open a Addin's (custom) window
(Application-->Windows-->Add), and then hover (with mouse) over menu
items... (crash in VISLIB)?

Has anyone else encountered this already?

AppName, ModName, AppVersion, ModVersion & Offset

Visio 2007 beta 2

Application visio.exe
Application Version 12.0.4017.1004
Application Stamp 445521c8
Module vislib.dll
Module Version 12.0.4017.1004
Module Stamp 445522a8
Debug 0
Offset 000b88a6

Some future investigations show that the problem occurs only when
trying to open that fancy new menu menu "Data" when a custom (addin's)
top-level window is active.

It looks like Visio starts to update menu item states for this menu,
and gets astonished with the fact that there is a window open, and this

window does not have Visio document bound to it... :)
I suppose in this case all menu items for that menu should be just
disabled?

Some future investigaion lead us to simple way to reproduce that.
No addins, no custom menus.
That's really simple :)

1. Start Visio.
2. Open VBA Editor.
3. In "Immediate" window, type "Application.Windows.Add" and click
enter.
4. Switch back to Visio, and click "Data" menu. Visio crashes.
