Visio 2000 files not opening in Visio viewer 2002

I'm having issues with some visio files opening fine on a
PC with Visio 2000, but when I transfer them to a PC with
Visio viewer 2002, it is unable to open them, and says
they are not a valid visio file.
However, if I save the file as a Visio 5 .vsd, it opens
them...
Any ideas?
