Visio 2000 Image into Word 2000, Image Magnified/Cropped

When I create an image in Visio 2000, and attempt to insert the image into a Word 2000 document, the image is magnified many times, and only the upper left corner of the image is visible in Word. If I double-click on the Word document image to edit the image in Visio, the entire image is visible in Visio edit mode. When I exit Visio edit mode, the image again is magnified with only the upper left corner visible in the Word document

A few months ago, this was an occasional problem. Now, this is a constant problem. I tried copying the image from Visio and paste or paste special into Word, and I tried insert object visio file from within Word - all with the same result. How can I insert a Visio 2000 image into a Word 2000 document, and see the entire image

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Joe, are you saving the Visio drawing as a gif file, then inserting the gif
file into Word? If so, the gif format is the problem. Visio appears to
deal in 300dpi, while gif is 96 dpi - thus the 300dpi drawing translates to
about three times the size in gif.

To insert Visio files into Word, it is simpler to just copy/paste;
double-click will invoke Visio for editing. To minimise Word file size, use
Paste Special and select "picture"; however double-click will not invoke
Visio for editing.

I had the same problem with Visio and Word 2002. I had Visio 2002 installed and upgraded Office to 2002 from 2000. I did a invoked a "Copy Drawing" command in Visio, then a Paste Special in Word, selecting the Viso Drawing option. Same result - large magnification when printing though all looked good in Word.

I took Pemo's advice and did a straight copy in Visio and a Paste Special/Picture and it worked for the most part when I printed. However, a .jpg that I had as part of my Visio drawing does not print even though it is displayed in Word.
