I have installed the full 2002 Visio Pro software and have no problems
getting into it or using it, but it has problems when I try to save. First
It save the file under the file name "Drawing", but it does not have a visio
icon when I look at it in explorer. When I click on it it then does not
open. I have sent the file on to another user with Visio, but they cannot
see it as a Visio file either!!

HELP!!!

Make sure you have saved the file with the .vsd file extension.

It sounds like Visio's file association is not functioning properly. Do you
happen to have the Visio Viewer installed on this box? Please check the
file association for the computer. Open the control panel go to the Tools
menu item next to help at the top of the page. Select Folder Options > File
Types > locate vsd. This file type should be handled by Microsoft Visio, if
not see if you can change it by changing the opens with option. The only
two types of applications that should open Visio files are Visio the
application and Internet Explorer which uses an active X control. If these
settings are not correct then you may want to perform a reinstall of Visio
to re-link all the file types such as vsd, vss, vst, vdx, vsx and vtx.
