Visio 2002 SR-1 Hangs when I select Insert Picture.

Visio 2002 sr-1 will just hang when I pick insert->picture.
The explorer like tool/window pops up for transversing the
file system but the program is hung. Cant access any thing
in the file popup or even cancel. Any ideas?
