Visio 2002 Std.

Richard

I've recently discovered a problem with my Visio 2002 Std.
I have it installed on a laptop that on ocasion connects
to our network. I installed Visio while not connected to
our network. I chose the custom install method, selecting
all programs are to be from the laptop. after I installed
and rebooted the laptop, I verified that Visio was
working, and it was. I then shutdown the laptop and
rebooted, this time with a network connection so that I
could authorize Visio, everthing still continued to work.
I then disconnected from the network and logged back onto
my workstation. I went to run Powerpoint on my laptop with
a presentation that was created on my laptop, but the PC
hung. (By the way my laptop is running NT4 sp6). I tried
to run Visio and it also would hang. I then connected my
cable back to my network, but still logging in locally. I
tried both Visio and Powerpoint, and on each ocaision I
was asked to log into the network. i kept hitting the
cancel button until it stopped askink me to connect. It
acts as if now the program needs some type of network
authenication, even though everything that I could
determine is the program should run from the local drive.
I looked at the registry entries for Visio, and they all
point to my local drive. I've searched the MS site but I
haven't run into any type of solution to my problem. I
should also mention that I have Visio installed on some
other workstations in my office, and they all work fine as
long as they are attached to the network.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Richard
