Is there a feature to automatically update header/footer fields like current
date and time? I need a last saved date and time field; does this exist in
Visio 2003?

Use tha background page solution I mentioned in my previous post, on the background page
add a text shape (or any shape for that matter) and insert a text field, you have options
for various date fields.
