Visio 2003: Converting a Rectangle into Lines

Udo

Hello,

is there any convenient way to converting a Rectangle (or a more
complex "basic" Shape) into Lines?

Thanks
Udo

Hello Udo,

Well there's nothing that does this automatically, but you might want to
take a look at shape operations. For example if you drop a rectangle onto
the page, draw a line across the top and then select both shapes you could
split the square with menu - Shapes/Operations/Fragment. Otherwise for
basic lines and curves you can use the Drawing toolbar (which if it's not
visible select View/Toolbars/Drawing).

Hope that helps

Best regards

John
