Visio 2003 Duplex Printing does not work with multiple copies

I work in a Citrix Windows 2003 environment. We are currently upgrading from
Windows 2000 to Windows 2003, and from Visio 2002 to Visio 2003.

We have found that when printing from Windows 2003 and Visio 2003, duplexing
printing does not work if you are printing multiple copies. For example, a
two page document prints normally in duplex more if only one copy is printed,
but if you do the same thing and print more than one copy in duplex mode and
a one sided copy of the first page of the document prints.

This issue is seen on various types of printers - the one I am testing on is
a Lexmark Optra S 1855.

Has anyone else had this problem, or can suggest a resolution?

When upgrading to Visio 2003, remember that there have been two Service
Packs released since the original release of Visio 2003. The first Service
Pack dealt with a few issues including printing problems. Make sure your
copy is up to date by looking at the About Box under the Help menu. It
should say "SP2".

Thank you for your reply. I can confirm that we are running Visio 2003 with
SP2.

Thanks for this - any help is appreciated.

I can confirm the problem can be recreated when printing to a Lexmark Optra
S 1855. Other users have reported the problem, and I am waiting for
confirmation of what printers they are printing to.

I can confirm that this issue can be recreated on both HP & Lexmark printers.

This is the answer I recieved.

"Yes, this is a known bug with Visio 2003 (all versions including SP2). It
doesn't have anything to do with Citrix. If you print multiple copies with
duplex (double-sided) printing, you get single-sided pages. The only
workaround that I know of is to send each copy as a separate job if you
really want double-sided printing."
