Visio 2003 keeps eating my drawing

I'm working along, no problems and suddenly visio locks up (does not respond
or repaint the screen).

Close Visio, open the vsd, it locks up.

Reboot, open the vsd, it locks up.

Four hours of work wasted.

Is there a repair/analyze function? A log file I can use to see what's
going wrong?

Hello Mr Handle,

What type of drawing is it (ie was it based on a particular template or
using specific masters)?

Does it crash immediately or could you re-save in xml (.vdx) format?
