Visio 2003; Org Chart; Shapes Lose Org Properties

I may be using the wrong lingo here, so please forgive me...but my org chart
shapes seem to lose their org chart properties. I created an 1800+ employee
org chart from an excel spreadsheet using the wizard. Saved it, closed it,
and opened it today to make some changes. When I select a shape and click
one of the layout options on the organization chart tool bar, I get the
following: "Please select a superior shape, and then try again" (And, yes -
the shape I selected is a manager with shapes under it...lol) When I click
the re-layout button on the organization chart toolbar, I get this: "Add
organization chart shapes to your drawing, and then try again."

So my questions is, how do i get Visio to recognize that these are in fact
org chart shapes?

So in case anyone else had this same problem...i found that if you
copy/delete/paste the entire chart on the page, the org chart properties will
be restored.

Thanks for posting this. It worked for me today in visio 2016 and I have been messing with it for a couple days.
