Visio 2003 Professional

Specifically, what are the advantages to upgrading to
Visio 2003 Pro if I am already running 2002 Pro? Can I
just upgrade to 2003 standard and retain
the "professional" features of Visio 2002?

I started in Visio III long ago and am just about fed up
with having to rush out to the computer store to buy the
latest copy when a customer sends me a file I can't
open. I though Microsoft would remedy this issue but I
am now receiving files from customers that I cannot open
(2003 vs 2002)...

You can expect to lose a number of features and
converters. I had Visio 2000 and miss the Data Flow
Model Diagram explorer in particular. From other
threads, it seems that you lose the ability to generate
code also. I found a MS document called "What You Won't
Find in Microsoft Office Visio 2003" in MS Office
Assistance>Visio 2003>Startup and Settings. (Sorry I
don't have URL)
