Visio 2003 set spelling language

João

This problem is driving me crazy. I'm portuguese and my OS is in portuguese,
however the office the company has is in English. As so, it doesn't have the
Portuguese diccionaries. My problem is with Visio, for some reason the speel
check is set to Portuguese (portugal), and whenever I type some text for the
first time it prompts me a box "Visio was unable to find the spelling for:
Portuguese (Portugal)".

I'm preparing a presentation for an international conference, and I'm
writing things in English, I would like to have the spell check set to
English UK but I can't find that option in Visio!!!!

I've changed the Office 2003 Language Settings to English (UK), Word, and
Powerpoint are now set to English, however Visio hasn't picked up this
setting (even after computer restart) and continues to perform the spell
check in Portuguese... Since the diccionary doesn't exist, no errors are
found and I can't change the language anywhere...

Can anyone help?

Thanks

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP2 (HP computer)
Office: 2003 + Visio Professional 2003 (english)

Hi João,

You may want to use the link below to also check with the Visio folks on this. Earlier versions took some of their settings from
either registry keys or from the system language settings, but the 2003 version came over mostly to using the Office tools. I'm
assuming you've switched the default Office choice to English, not just added that as an enabled language in the Office language
settings tool.

It can also happen if you're pasting in language from another Office app or a web page and the language for those is something other
than English.
