Visio 2003 Software Drawing Style Not Available

H

Houli

I have Visio 2003.

I would like to make UML diagrams, but appearantly I do not have the
Software drawing type (nor do I have any of the following drawing types:
Database; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Process
Engineering; Web Diagram type).

I've searched on google to solve the problem, but have found no information
that pretains to this. I also searched office.microsoft.com/officeupdate for
a possible update I'm missing.

How do I get these drawing types?

There is a version of Visio called Visio for Enterprise Architects,
which
is not longer sold - but was bundled with Visual Studio 2005 Team
editions.
The database solution in 'VEA' included additional reports. These
reports
can include details such as Entity and Column level notes.

Please note : VEA is no longer available, and the version that was
included with VS2005 is based on the Visio 2003 version, Not on Visio
2007.
(No Visio 2007 version of VEA exists or is planned)

Sorry, those features that you mentioned are in the Professional version of
Visio.

As Al said, the UML diagrams are part of Visio Proferssional. However, we do an addon for
Visio that will do all the UML diagram types up to UML 2.0 (see below)
