Visio 2007 Hyperlinks

I am using Visio to mock-up a web page. I have to share the .vsd file and
would like it to be intuitive for those receiving it.

I have discovered that pressing ctrl-K will allow me to add a link to
another page in the file. Unfortunately, it does not work like you would
expect. I have to right-click and select the target from the context menu.
Although I can see some use for this, it is counter intuitive and I can't
expect people that I share this document with to figure that out. To them
it will simply appear that the hyperlinks don't work.

I see that there is an option to double-click and get the effect but that
isn't quite intutitive either.

When I publish as a web page, the links break - even with the "use relative
path" checked.

Publishing as pdf works better and I can distribute that way if necessary
but I would keep it as a .vsd.

Isn't there a way to add a hyperlink and have it behave the way a hyperlink
should behave?

Thanks, bob

I know you don't want to hear this, but:
I have had the same experience. I suppose it was designed it that way since
single-clicking selects the object. MS should put in an option to save it
with the select function turned over to the hyperlink so it will work
intuitively on the web. That way you can publish it and others can then
download and reuse it (just reset the option and edit).

It isn't the answer I was looking for but it is nice to know the answer
anyway. I spent a lot of time looking for a feature that I felt sure *must*
be there.

I guess you cannot single-click to run a macro for the same reason?

thanks, bob
