Visio 2007 Installation - "Program too big to fit in memory"

Hello All,

I recently downloaded Visio 2007 from MSDN. When I tried to install it
(i.e., ran "setup.exe"), a command window quickly popped up and
disappeared and nothing else happened.

I then opened up a command window and executed "setup.exe" from there.
The following message was then displayed:

"Program too big to fit in memory"

Has anyone seen this happen? If so, is there a work-around?

Thank you.

what system version are you running? how much memory do you have on the
system? how much disk space is left?
etc. etc. etc...

Thanks for your reply, AlEdlund. Here is my system information:

Windows XP Professional SP2
3.00 GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU - 2.40 GHz
12.1 GB of 27.3 GB free on first HD partition
74.0 GB of 80.5 GB free on second HD partition

Thanks for your help.

with that kind of system, I'd suspect a corrupted download. As I remember
sometimes XP would get confused on the swap file as well.

Hmmm....I may have to download it again and try re-installing it. I'll
post my results whether it works or not.

Thanks.
