Visio 2007 on a windows 2003 x64 machine

Hi There,

One of my employees is having problems with his Visio 2007 on a windows 2003
x64 machine. The problem is that everytime he wants to create a new database
diagram, the application then hangs and then you must go and kill Visio 2007
in Task Manager.

Now I have searched the internet for solutions, and the solution isn't
actually very good. The solution is that we must disable the Print spooler
and then it will work. But disabling the spooler is going to be very
irritating.

Please help me as soon as possible.

This appears to be an issue with Windows 2003 64bit and XP 64bit operating
systems since the issue does not occur with Vista 64bit. Before you attempt
use the database solution on these systems you might try to open a blank
drawing go to File > Print > Cancel, then use the database solution.

Good day James,

Thanks for the reply. This workaround work but I want a resolution and not a
work around. The reason for this is that one of my co-workers wants to get
stuff fast for clients and don't have to do the workaround.

Thanks alot.

Since it does appear to be an issue with Windows your only solution at this
point would be to use the Vista 64bit operating system.
