Visio 2007 - problem with Data | Link Data to Shapes

I'm following a tutorial in a new install of Visio 2007. I am
instructed to create a new basic network diagram, add a PC shape,
select Data | Link Data to Shapes, and then interact with the Data
Selector dialog. However, when I do this and select Data on the Visio
toolbar only 3 options are presented: Shape Data, Insert Data
Solutions >, and Reports.

Does anybody know why Link Data to Shapes is not showing up as a menu
pick?

Thanks
Dave

I know - our sysadmin did a network install from a server directory
name "Visio 2007 Professional", so I foolishly assumed that
Professional was what was installed. Help | About is silent with
respect to Standard vs. Professional, so I didn't know what to assume
at that point. I contacted network management and was told, "Oh, yeah.
That folder was supposed to have been renamed. Visio Standard is our
enterprise version. If you want Pro you'll have to purchase it
separately."

Aggh.
Thanks
Dave
