I cannot either.
I looked at the Shapesheet and changed the viscalshapetype cell. No luck.
Even the Microsoft Active X did not give this possibility.
The Microsoft Outlook Calendar can only compress the weekends.
I hope you won't have to overlap with an empty shape.
