Visio ; Data Modeling Diagram

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled Visio Pro 2007 4 times and I
always have the same problem in all of them. I can use all the products
except Data Modeling Diagram. It will not lod or even start to load. All I
get is a the tool bars and the slit screen where the blank paper should be
with the tools on the left. It never finishes loading. It stops and I get
(Not Responding). Then I have to try to shut it down. I am running a 64 bit
Windows XP system. Can anyone help with fix. thanks.

AFAIAA, Visio does not officially support 64 bit

We do support running on x64 systems, although Visio 2007 is a 32-bit
application (as are all of the Office 2007 client applications).
There is an issue that occurs with Database modeling on x64, however.

You can avoid the crash by doing the following before opening or
instantiating a database modeling
diagram:

1) new blank drawing
2) File | Print
3) cancel from the Print dialog

Unfortunately, this is a workaround for the current session, not a
permanent fix. After you close and re-open Visio, the print action must be
used again to avoid the problem.

Thanks for the work around. Do you know if there are any plans to fix this
issue or whether it is on a list of bugs to be prioritised?

I don't know if the Windows side can be addressed, but this can't be done
from the Visio side, unfortunately.
I know that it is an active issue, so there's hope for the future!
