I am new Visio development. I am trying to extend Visio to have my own custom
stencil and shapes. These shapes can be custom created or picked from the
existing shapes.

I would like to find out
1) how to a create a custom stencil with the existing shapes
2) how to create custom shapes

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Hello G-Man,

Head straight over here for the low down creating stencils:

In terms of using existing shapes as a base for your new ones, just drag
them into your new document that you're going to save as a stencil document,
make your modifications and save as a vss as described above.

Bear in mind that most existing masters are covered by copyright and this is
a write once operation.
