Visio, eps and greek letters

I want to use visio to create graphics that I then
include in a latex file, so I'm exporting to .eps format.
I need to use greek letters, though, and so I've written
some of my text using the Symbol font. When I export to
eps, I lose this text. Does anyone know how to fix this
bug or can suggest a different workaround?

Are you using Windows XP?

It seems to be a problem with Windows XP, not Visio. Using Visio 2000 or
Visio 2002 on Win98SE renders the symbol characters perfectly well. Using
the same Visio files with the same Visio versions on WinXP Prof does not
render the symbols.

There has been no acknowledgement of the problem by Microsoft to my
knowledge.
