Visio.exe process re-launches after close

I am having a strange problem with Visio, when I close the application, it
re-opens itself.
I notice in the task manager that the visio.exe process never really goes
away, and when the application is re-opening, another process comes up
briefly, then goes away, leaving the original process still there.

Is anybody having this issue? Any suggestions on how I can fix it?

sounds like an add-on is not closing properly. does this use a custom app?

I don't think so, especially because I am having this problem on 2 different
computers.
