Visio Icons Turning Black In Copying

All,

When I cut and paste a drawing from Visio to Word, some
new icons I downloaded turn into black boxes in Word.
When I click on the drawing in Word, the icons look fine
in the editing window. Picture placeholders are
disabled. What simple thing am I missing ?
