visio pencil tool

When I am drawing lines with the line tool and pencil tool, the pencil or
line tool jumps / vibrates all over the place. I have tried to use compressed
air to clean the optical mouse, but the problem persists. The mouse is not
vibrating or jumping when I use the pointer tool. I am using Visio over a
Citrix connection. When I move the cursor off the drawing page to the menu
bars above, it gets smooth again.

menu Tools -> Options -> Advanced
and check the Smoothing value in the Freeform Drawing section.
Normal value is 5.
