Visio reconfigures itself Outlook is launched

Very weird problem. When Outlook 2003 is launched a dialog box will pop up
saying that Visio Standard 2007 is being configured, show the status box and
will eventually disappear when it is finished.

I have removed Visio 2007, rebooted, reinstalled Visio 2007 and the problem
continues. It happens each time the computer is restarted.

Any ideas as I am at a lose.

This sounds like an installation issue where one or more of the Office 2003
components is not completely installing, or perhaps one of the components
used by Visio 2007.

Best approach is to start with a clean boot, and if any Office components
(Outlook, Communicator, OneNote etc.) are set to launch on startup, close
them. Then use the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs) to repair (1)
Office 2003 and any individual apps from the 2003 era, then repair (2)
Visio 2007.

After both repairs, try launching Outlook and verify it starts normally,
then launch Visio and see if it starts okay, and other combinations that
would cause the issue in the past. If you still have issues, it is likely
than one or all of the Repair attempts didn't complete or had errors which
were logged.

There is a good article on Office install Logging :
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;826511
How to use a setup log file to troubleshoot setup problems in Office

An Office Setup support case might be the best route if you can't see the
source of the issue with the help of that article. This is not actually a
Visio issue, but involves the shared Office components and the Installer
used to place them on your system.

I am having the same issue. I went through the "repair" steps that were
suggested to you but I am still having the issue.

Have you found a way to resolve this?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
