Recently purchased a new Toshiba laptop running Windows 7. I do not have
Microsoft Office installed on this new computer (don't need it for what I
do). Had Visio 2000 on my old computer running Windows 2000. Visio 2000
does not want to install on the new machine. Do I have to have Office
installed on the new machine in order to re-install my old Visio 2000? I
only work with old floor plan files I created years ago so I do not need
newer versions of Visio. I am really confused (99 percent of my life exists
on a Mac (where I do have Office installed)(not interested in trying to run
Visio on my Mac) so any help would be really appreciated. Thank you in
advance.

Looking at the compatibility page for Windows 7, it does not look likely
that Visio 2000 is going to install on a computer running Windows 7.

Thank you. If I need to move to a newer version of Visio (say 2003), will
that work on Windows 7? and do I need to have Office installed in order for
Visio to install? Thanks!
