Visio Reverse Engineer Oracle 10g Database

Hello,

I'm trying to use Visio to reverse engineer an Oracle 10g database and I
keep getting the message "Encountered a fatal error during reverse engineer
of information from the database!". I've tried to use the both the ODBC for
Oracle as well as the 10g driver but I can't get it to run a successful
reverse engineer - not even on a single table.

Has anyone encountered this issue before and if so, can you please tell me
what to do to fix it? I've searched the web high and low but noone seems to
have come up with a solution that works. The latest thing I tried, based on
feedback from one of the forums I visited, was to install the Visio SP3.
Unfortunately, that didn't work either.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Christine

typically the solution ends up being to use the generic odbc drivers (i.e.
not oracle specific)

Does that mean you've heard of this problem? I actually did try to use the
generic driver but it doesn't bring in my procedures, etc., and it doesn't
reflect the datatypes correctly. Everything I've read suggests that the
reverse engineer feature worked prior to 10g. Do you know if this is
something that's being addressed?
Thanks!
Christine
