Visio Roadmap - MS Modeling Strategy

D

Dan Ellis

I am looking for some insight into MS strategy for supporting modeling. In
particular, I am interested in MS commitment to enhancing Visio UML modeling
capability and support for BPMN.

Can anyone provide insight into MS strategy regarding model-based development?
Will there be continued investment to enhance Visio modeling capabilities?
Are there any published documents that might provide insight into MS
direction?

Thanks,

Dan Ellis

You might want to take a look at a thread in this newsgroup from
11-Dec-2004, titled "Version of UML supported in VS.NET EA 2005".

Microsoft seems to be moving away from UML modeling.

Visual Studio 2005 will support a modeling tool called Whitehorse.

It appears Microsoft is moving away from UML. Visual Studio 2005
will contain modeling tools code named "Whitehorse".
