Visio2003: Exported ACAD DWG file is missing pasted object

C

Chris

I imported a DWG file, converted it in Visio2003, then pasted a bitmap object
into my new drawing. I then saved it as DWG format.

The exported DWG file has all my changes EXCEPT that the pasted bitmap
object is missing. I tried making the object appear on all layers (select,
Format->Layer, clicked all the boxes) but this had no effect on the exported
file.

How do you make sure the exported "DWG" file looks like the original visio
file, when the original visio file has a pasted bitmap graphic image?

Thanks

In case you have not already found this on your own, it is noted in the
Readme for Visio. Bitmap images are not exported to DWG/DXF - this is a
known limitation of the export function, and is still true in Visio 2007.

As a work around, you can save the image selectively as a separate
operation by clicking on it and saving to some image format, then import
the image into Autocad.
