Viso 2003: can not get connectors to auto jump

Supposedly, to get connectors to auto jump, I go to format->behavior-
connector->line jumps.

But, when I click on the connector, then go to format->behavior, there
is no connector tab. The only tabs are: behavior, double click, and
placement. There is nothing about line jumps anywhere.

Are you sure the shape really is a connector? What is the shape's
name and where did it come from?
