Viso and Autocad Raster images

I can't seem to open any autocad image which was a scanned document and now a
raster image in autocad...I only seem to be able to open the associated .tif
file...this is often ncomplet if the file was worked on it autocad vector
format later on...Can viso open raster images in autocad format??
