Vista compatibility

I have Office Pro 2007 and had it installed on my old machine running Windows
XP.
Machine crashed and bought a new machine running Windows Vista.
The CD's will not Autorun on Vista, Vista not listed in comparibility.
Can I download the demo version of Office Pro 2007 from Microsoft website
and then use the key I have on this box to authorize its use?

Office 2007 was created hand-in-hand with Vista. Have you tried running the
setup file on the disk?

Insert the Office Pro 2007 DVD in your CD/DVD drive. If Autorun does not
start the installation program try the following:
Start, double click on Computer to open.
Right click on your CD/DVD drive and from menu select one the following;
Install or Run program
Install
Open and then double click on Setup.exe to start setup.

The package states that Office 2007 is compatible with Windows XP with
Service Pack 2 or later. Vista comes under later.

The Product key on your Office 2007 package will not work with the Trial
version you can download.

There is no setup file on the disk, only Autorun.
Uder properties then compatibility, Windows Vista is not listed.

One other thing to do before you attempt to install on your new machine is
to go to Control Panel. Programs and uninstall any Microsoft Office program
or activation wizard you find there. Many manufacturers install Office
trial which will interfere with an install of a retail package.
