Microsoft Word 2003, in Windows XP Professional worked just fine with
formatting.
Microsoft Word 2003, in Vista has created line spacing changes, even font
changes in the book I am editing for a friend.
I have XP 2003 and 2007 and cannot correct this for him (none of this
happend in the first book).
Must be submitted in .pdf to print so has to look like finished product and
not able to make it happen.
Is there a patch for Vista to fix this problem? Author will not download
from Internet nor even go online with his laptop.

Almost certainly this is caused by the printer/printer driver setup on the
Vista machine being different from that on the Windows XP machine.

I'm experiencing the same symptoms on a Windows 7 machine, after moving from XP, and using the same version of Office '03 in both cases.

I believe this may have coincided with a printer update, having upgraded our network printer from a RICOH machine to a Toshiba machine.

Do you have any recommendations about how to fix this?

Nate
