After migrating a working Access 2003 front-end with ODBC links to a
Sql Server 2005 back-end db from Windows XP to Vista, I can no longer
filter any date or even use them in queries to filter. While in
Access, when I try to filter any date (just by clicking on the the
Filter By Selection button) I get the error message, "Microsoft Access
has stopped working" and it closes the db down. The same database
works fine using Windows XP, I can filter the dates without any
problems. The filter works for all other data types on both operating
systems. I have installed all the latest updates for Vista and Office.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
