Can you explain what problems you're having?

Only Office 2003 and 2007 are fully supported in Windows Vista.

I think everything works except Outlook with Office XP, I wonder what
problem the OP is having?

BTW, Outlook works also but it won't remember passwords.

yes the problems are the software wont run i.e excel ,word and powerpiont
and i dont really wont to go out and buy a new package if possible.

I'm sorry but I guess I can't help. I tried OfficeXP in Vista Ultimate
Edition 64 bit and it ran OK except Outlook wouldn't save my email
account password, that's a known failure. I couldn't live with it so I
upgraded to a later version.

I'm afraid you're going to have to upgrade to a later version of
Office, I don't know why Word, etc. won't run but MSFT says only Office
2003 and Office 2007 will run in Vista so it's going to be almost
impossible to get any help.
