Visual Basic Error

Hi,
There is a thread, from last year, that fits my case exactly. It comes
up in all of my Internet searches that address this problem. My problem
fits this one so close; I must use it as a reference. Here are some of
the excerpts:

VISUAL BASIC ERROR

I HAVE OFFICE STUDENT AND TEACHER 2003, AND EVERY TIME I START WORD, OR
CLOSE
IT AND OUTLOOK, I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR:

MICROSOFT VISUAL BASIC
FILE NOT FOUND: DVZADDIN.DLL

I'VE CHECKED ALL THE UPDATES, BOTH FOR OFFICE, AND WINDOWS XP (OS) AND
NOT
FINDING ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP CLEAR THIS PROBLEM.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT I NEED TO DO??

Hi,

if you choose "Tools" and select "Templates and Add-ins" and remove
the
addons, does it help?

thanks,
g

I just tried that, but won't let me remove it from the list, and won't
save
the new settings, but for that document, it did help closing it

"Found this on a forum
I finally solved the problem. The DVZAddin.dll is in fact part of the
Document-To-Go
bundled for my Sony CLIE. When Document-To-Go is installed to the PC,
it
will include
the DVZAddin.dll and DVZWAddin.dot template for Word.
Just find and delete the DVZWAddin.dot template for Word. Every time
Word starts or
stops it checks the template, finds a reference to the missing
DVZAddin.dll file and
throws the error message. Delete the template and the error is gone.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates folder"

END OF THREAD

I even own a Sony CLie. There is one difference; I am using Office 2002
xp. I followed all of the TS steps above but the search for
DVZWAddin.dot came up empty. There must be another program that is
trying to do something with DVZAddin.dll on my computer.

Symptoms - Microsoft Visual Basic comes on stating DVZAddin.dll not
found, when I turn MS Word 2002 on or off or I turn off MS Outlook
2002.

I would most grateful for any thoughts or ideas on this.

Thank you so very much
Jon

Turn on display of hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer
or My Computer by clicking on Tools | Folder Options | View tab |
click the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button | OK.
Then search for DVZWAddin.dot again.
