Visual Basic for Applications Extensibility

Keith

I opened someones Access 97 DB in my 2002 version and made some changes
(created some forms and reports) and then converted it back to 97.

It worked fine on my machine in both original 97 format, converted 2002
format and then final converted -down 97 format.

However, when I took it along to the person who's DB it was and opened it up
in their version of Access 97 one of the forms causes an error which crashes
Access completely.

Upon someone's advice I checked the references and found that it was trying
to reference the Visual Basic for Applications Extensibility 5.3 which it
said was missing on the 97 machine, so I un-ticked it. Still no joy, the
problem still exists.

What is Visual Basic for Applications Extensibility 5.3 and would this cause
this problem? My form only has simple wizard-created buttons on it
(previous, next, print preview, close etc.).

If it would cause this problem, is there a copy of Visual Basic for
Applications Extensibility for 97 I can get and install on their machine?

Thanks
