Visual Reports Task List sort order

The Assignment Usage visual report creates a task dimension in which
tasks maintain the hierachy from project and the task pull down list
in the pivot table maintains the task order and hierachy.

Does anyone know how to create this functionality in exported data to
a pivot table or in VBA?

I would like to generate an Assignment Usage table with Resource Group
and Code versus Task. I can export Tasks Resource Groups and Codes,
but I can not achieve the hierachy and non-aphabetic sort orders in
the pull down list on the pivot table.
