Hi please suggest how to use vlookup() function for the problem given
below to identify the word for given id

A B
id word
1 tennis
2 hat
3 trial
4 ride
5 complex

Try

=VLOOKUP(2,A2:B6,2,FALSE)

=VLOOKUP(A10,$A$1:$B$6,2,FALSE) entered in C1

Assumes you typed 2 in A10..............will return hat to C1
