VLookup Text to a Number

When I use vlookup on this particular problem it brings the cell that I need,
but it comes over as text. I know it's dowloaded as text, but how ccan I
either make the cell to a number, or add up a column of text to a number?

Try:

=--VLOOKUP(...)

or

=SUMPRODUCT(--Range)

for summing.

Hi

This solution leaves your original data in text form. To turn them to number
directly:

Enter a number 1 into some free unformatted cell and copy it;
Select the range you want to convert and format it as general or number or
date - as you need;
Without changing the selection, select from menu Edit.PasteSpecial.Multiply;
Erase the number 1 enterd at start.
