Vlookup

I am Doing a Vlookup but I am getting

A B C D
90 A 80 B
84 B 90 A
80 #N/A
90 #n/A
85 #N/A

and so on cells C and D are the Table array

=VLOOKUP(A8,H1:I2,2) the table is in H1:I2 in H1 and H2 I
have 89 and 79. In I1 and I2 I have A and B. In A8:A14 I
have the grades ranging from 100 - 80

the table has to be sorted ascending. So if you switch the order it
should work
