VPC Shared Networking Problem

I'm using a powerbook too. If it's connected to the (wireless) router
with wire then yes the vpc is able to connect to db on the mac.
However, my intention was to do so even when the router is not
presented. Is it possible?

Glad I can help. I've been working thru similar issues myself.

The Virtual Switch is not able to work with wireless, so I understand...
