VS 2005 com add-ins and Office version

Hi, I cannot find clear information on the match between development
environment versions and MS Office version regarding the development of
COM add-ins. I know that you can use VB6 to write COM add-ins for
Office 2000+.

I think you can also use VS 2003 (.NET 1.1) to develop AOM add-ins for
Office 2000+ but how about developing in VS 2005 and .NET 2.0? Can I
use VS 2005 and .NET 2.0 to develop COM add-ins for Office 2000, XP and
2003 OR it has to be Office 2003 only?

Thanks,
Dimos

Yes, you can use VS 2005 to develop COM-Addins for Office 2000+. But in
order to use any currently available version of VSTO (Visual Studio Tools
for Office) the version of Office must be 2003.
