I downloaded trial edition of office standard 2003 60 day trial, purchased
Office professional edition 2003 and installed it without OutLook as i prefer
Outlook express. however whilst searching through threads and databases in
microsoft i found, but didnt bookmark it several articles referring to
C:\_VTAREA.TMP which said that it was a glitch in the office program and it
would grow with every click you made in Office, and yes it is growing now up
to 3.5 gb. there was purported to be a patch to download which would halt its
growth and gradually disapte it, does anyone know of this or know how to get
rid of it, the computer will not allow it to be deleted.

I tried searching for 'C:\_VTAREA.TMP' and also for '_VTAREA.TMP' at both
MSDN and Google, with no results. The closest match I can find is 'cvtarea',
which seems to have nothing to do with Microsoft Office. I think that you
may need to provide more information before anyone will be able to help you.
Also please note that this forum is for discussion of issues related to
using Microsoft Access. If your problem is related to Microsoft Office
installation or configuration, you may stand a better chance of finding
someone familiar with your problem and able to help you in a more
appropriate forum.

Thank you Brendan for your reply, This is a microsoft problem only does not
have anything to do with online searches. searching microsoft data bases is
where its at, just need to find it again, Thanking you.
