Walls with different thickness

Building Plan ; Walls, Shell and Structure.
When I glue a wall in the length to the endpoint of a thicker wall, a little
line segment between the two thicknesses is lacking.
Also in the Print Preview.
Of course I can patch up, but is there a cleaner solution ?

When you join the walls you are basically making two walls into one, so it
gets rid of the line, the only way I can think to get the line into the gap
is to just draw it in with the line tool. Definately a workaround but
hopefully it's a "workable" workaround.
