Want Excel fractions to print like Word fractions

Word prints 1/2 in one character, not three like in Excel. Is there a way I can treat the 1/2 as text and get one character position?

You can insert that by holding down the Alt key while typing 0189 on the
numpad, then
release the Alt key. However you can't use it in any calculations since it
is a text character
