Want to add an mp3 or wma file to play throughout the entire site

Hello.

I'm not having any luck adding an mp3 or wma file as background music
using FrontPage 2002. I WAS able to add an .ra file, but it doesn't
work in other browsers. The .wav file is simply too big.

I've been told that I really need to use a midi file... but I haven't
been able to find a midi song that doesn't sound flat and "tinny." I
really like the full-bodied professional sound of the other file
types.

Therefore....

1. Does anyone know how I can add an mp3 or wma file to my
website? (I don't understand why Microsoft FrontPage doesn't support
its own wma files).

2. If it HAS to be a midi file, does anyone know of a site that has
decent songs? It needs to sound professional for a business site.

3. Assuming I find a file, is there anyone way begin the music when
the client first enters the site and loops until they leave the
site? I have found a way to stop and start on each page, but this
sounds to choppy as the client moves from page to page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

In my experience with FP2003:

Mp3 files work, but can only be heard by folks using the IE browser
(MS). Midi files are smaller and usually used in many sites. Yes, they
do sound tinny.

After you have the music on your computer, copy and paste the link into
the Page Properties portion of a page. Just right click to get page
properties. Check the "forever" area if you want the song to continue.

OK... how do you get the mp3 files to work? When I try to insert
them, they do not show up in the list of files, evidently because they
are not a recognized file type. I am using FP 2002, though.

Thanks!!

Okay, you now have the mp3 file into the area on page propeties and
checked "forever"?

Save.

Must: open Internet Explorer browser in order to hear them. They don't
work with Netscape, Firefox, Mac.

Jessi, I took a file that was an mp3 and changed the extension from MP3 to
WAV and it worked (only in IE). You can also change the file extension back
to MP3 after the code has been inserted. It just doesn't show up in the
background sound dialog box. (see "Add a Sound" in MSFP online help for more
details)
