I'm new to this amazing group, I need your help
I want to buy the microsoft office package that includes word 2007,
Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and Outlook 2007 from Amazon and the
price really cheap from what I saw
But I want to ask you whether good price should I buy the software
from the site?

Diane is correct about this being a group for Office (specifically Word) on
the Mac but as a matter of general information my experience with Amazon.com
has been quite good. There are 2 considerations, however.

The first is that Amazon.com often offers "Used" as well as "New" product...
I have *never* ordered any tem advertised as Used, so I can't comment on
that, but I'd be very hesitant to purchase used software sight unseen.

Second, Amazon is a conglomeration of individual vendors, not just a source
in and of itself. I'd suggest that you ascertain exactly which vendor is
supplying the product & do a little research. Some sources are more reliable
than others & there are usually 'ratings' available.

There's no doubt you can get some good deals on the internet, but you have
to be careful who you deal with. Like anything else, if it sounds too good
to be true it probably is

Generally, "No".

You will find that the licence is not valid in your country, and the
software will be disabled after 30 days.

I just handled an instance of that here in Australia: very cheap, but not
licensed to be sold in Australia and so disabled.

Computer software is like anything else: you get what you pay for. If it
seems to cheap, that's because you are not getting the full thing. If you
can buy a single copy for $30, why couldn't Circuit City? And if they could
get it for $30, you can bet your "a" they would be selling it for $39.95 to
beat their competitors.

See where I am going with this? If big stores buying in lots of a hundred
thousand can't get it for that price, how come you can? Something is
wrong...
